Maxx's brief notes:
- Hard Rock Hotel is quite lovely; don't know what the complaints are about. Free TWG tea bags, mate. Classy.
Dark red, black and purple, snakeskin et al appeals to my glam side.
- Universal was funner than anticipated, even surprisingly so for non-coaster goers. [Though still very lame that the big'uns
are down, it's a shame.] Great merch if you're a fan of BSG, Shrek or Madagascar. General shops, like the Brown
Derby, are misleadingly named and rather disappointingly general. Don't anticipate themed, specialised merchandise on those.
- Resort World's casino has atrocious win rates, which is particularly bad if you're a local, and high minimum table bids
[even if you're approaching one claiming 0, the 'chips' for $25 below aren't so much chips as opposed to plain pastel discs
that everyone will know your shame about]. I was hoping to see Barry Cox from Liverpool belt out sum Cantopop, but
unfortunately got stuck with the atrociously boring girl-group because they don't dance, just kinda wave their hands about, and do not strip.
- Best thing about RW's casino is no smoke. Cleanest freakin' casino ever.
- When it's all fixed up it'll be much better - takes a long while to walk from HRH to its own HR Cafe, which is sad and
ludicrious [short-cut ain't open yet]. Check out the 1 for 1 deals on your various banks before going, it'll make dining
way more worthwhile.
